Library services

The library offers a broad variety of services. Most are for all users while some are exclusively for employees at the Danish Institute for Human Rights.

The basics

Anyone can use and borrow materials

Lending period is default one month

Loans can be renewed via our website (logon as user)

A fine is payable when loans are overdue following a first free recall letter

Your Danishsocial securitycard (sygesikringsbevis) serves as your library card

Public access

The library is open to the public and anyone with a Danishhealth insurancecard can become registred and check out books. Read more about our personal data policy here (in Danish).

Most books are available for loan (library regulations apply). Journal articles etc. can be printed /copied /DKK 0,50 per page)

Searching for information and literature

  • Assistance so use the library's collection and facilities
  • Help to search for literature ect. via the library's catalogues, e-journals and licenced databases, or on the internet at large
  • Help to identify the international organizations, research environments of relevance to your needs
  • PCs enable you to use the internet
  • Free Wi-fi
